Random picture of the day...
I've been taking digital pictures since 1996 and have quite a few saved throughout the years. What I plan on doing is randomly selecting on, posting it and giving it some sort of caption. The selections will be at random. This should be... interesting. Here goes:
This picture was taken when I was working as the youth group leader at a local church. We took a hike to the cascades, a pretty sweet waterfall not too far from Blacksburg. This is the view after hiking to the top of the falls looking toward it's actual falling. To the right is one of the students in the group.

A need to update
According to ML I need to update. True.
So here is an update. Where to start? Lots going on. How about Valentine's Day?:
Valentine's day was wonderful as I had a wonderful Valentine to share the day with. My first Valentine in years and I could not have asked for a better one! I made Erin a Valentine card, since (1) I like to be creative and (2) It is rare that people ever make Valentine Cards anymore. It was an Origami Heart that took me a while to figure out :)
I traveled up to Salem and we went out to the 'Sake House' for dinner. Erin claims the 'S' looks like a 'J', so she thinks we went to the "Jake House". A nice Japanese place and I had sushi, which I enjoy. It was fresh made and was delicious. The night previous I had gotten tickets for us to see three folks singing songs about the various stages of love. The singers were pretty good and had all previously had major roles on Broadway. Erin and I were pretty tired though so we left at intermission to have a hot chocolate and discuss the things of life. All in all a good couple of days.
Our next venture takes us to Texas where we will visit our officiant and one of my best friends, Scott Baker. Will also travel to Austin to visit with Diane, one of Erin's good friends. Should be a fun trip, we get back into Roanoke around 6ish on Monday and then head to the community center to watch Erin's grandfather square dance call as a prep for our reception. That should be rather interesting... As for wedding planning I think we have the photographer and videographer nailed down and I should be signing a contract this week before we head to Texas. I hope to have the caterer settled by the end of next week and maybe the cake and live musicians the week before I go on my cruise to Mexico.
So there it is. And if you are wondering what kind of excitement this very evening holds for me, I can clear it up in one word. Taxes.

Mortgage Hunting
That's what I have been up to lately. The other owners of the property decided to sell me the place and now I am looking for a sufficient way to fund them. I've spoken to between 5-10 lenders and things are looking pretty good. I'm hoping to get all of this taken care of before March as it will help to have it out of the way and my focus on running and wedding planning :)
This weekend Floyd is in the plans, dropping in on late night voting for Phi Sigma Pi and having a Saturday to catch up on a full list of things to do. And maybe, just maybe, I'll sleep in?
Have a great weekend!
