The week of Moving
So these next two days will include a lot of moving. This past month I've slowly been moving things from our currently home in Blacksburg to our new home in Christiansburg. The plan now is to move Curt from Christiansburg to Roanoke tonight. And for Erin & I to move on Tuesday. It should be mainly a furniture move and we have recruited some help as well. I'm looking forward to getting all moved in and settled. I've done a pretty good job with the transition thus far and have changed addresses, signed insurance paperwork, etc. as much as possible in advance of the move.
This past weekend I also played Ultimate Frisbee for the first time in 6 weeks. The Dr. cleared me to remove my splint this week and told me I was on my own. Saturday's games went well, except for Sunday's soreness (the persists today). Should make the move a little more interesting. In the meantime work has picked up and I am moving to a new position. Going from a 'Project Analyst' position to a 'Sales Engineer' position. This change is mainly in responsibility and place in the project life cycle. I will have earlier conversations with our client and will help work on pricing our products.
Then I'll be leaving for Chattanooga, TN on Thursday night to visit my Sister-in-law's family with my Mother-in-law. Should be a good trip and I am looking forward to the mini-vacation, esp. after moving.

Selling, Renting, Selling, Renting, more stories...
So we decided to rent our place, not sell. However we are still moving. I went back and forth with the decision for a while and came to the decision to rent given that we will likely not be in this position for a while and in the long run I'd like to own some additional real estate. Either way it will be an adventure as I learn all about the land of landlording.
Moving has made things pretty busy as of late, we've been painting, packing, caulking, etc. The good news is that the place we are moving is currently owned by a buddy of mine and he's cleared away some space so we can move things over slowly. Ahh moving, needless to say it's been great being in one place for 4 years after moving every year the previous 6.
The arm is healing up. A trip to the doctor last week solicited the following comment from the doctor "Still bruised after 4 weeks, it must have been pretty bad". My only reply was "You are correct".
