6:30AM

A kitchen full of fun!

It's 6:30AM, where are you? Are you sleeping? Perhaps your alarm clock is going off? Maybe you are half-way through a morning workout?

Where was I?

Cleaning my Fridge.

That's right, me and the fridge. It has not been cleaned in a very long time. I dare not venture a guess at how long. I pulled everything out of there. Old soup, lemon juice (to be used by Oct. 04) and surprisingly nothing too bad smelling. When all was said and done I had 3 full bags of trash, old flour, hardened brown sugar (yes I did some of the cabinets too), and 5 half eaten jars of jelly.

Getting there.

What caused this exciting event to unfold? A couple things, first off I wanted to make an omelet and had to move 10+ things just to get out a few ingredients. And the other thing is that one of my roommates just moved out and I didn't want his food in the fridge forever. I've always thought it nice that roommates seem to leave trash for others to clean :) Strangely enough it was also this particular roommate's job to keep the kitchen half way decent. But alas he is moving out and on to marriage, hope his future wife likes to clean :)

Drawers on the counter...

Pictures to follow...

There are so many things wrong with this post...

First off, 6:30am does not exist. There is no such time. Especially not when that's 5:30am where I live. That's closer to bedtime than anything else.

Second, ew.

Third, jelly never goes bad. You could've had snacks for days with those jars and a spoon!

< doing a quick calculation > So, using my local time, you were cleaning your fridge at 3:30am. Why am I not surprised at this?

You are not surprised because you know me :)

I can't wait until you're married and housebroken. It's just not humane to let someone live and do crazy crap like that. I hope Erin tames you.

Ah, yes, the lovely, move out and pretend that half the crap laying around isn't yours. The nice thing is that when you go through and are cleaning and find a bunch of stuff that belongs to an old roommate, throwing it out feels awesome. The last few weeks I've been trying really pare down my belongings. I talked with my mother the other day and she encouraged me that with this next move, I should plan on only moving my books and my clothes. So if anyone needs kitchen stuff, couches, a chair, bed, dresser, or a freezer, let me know.

And by the way - that's just plain nutty talk! Only moving books and clothes :)

I support you, ml. Travel light, my friend. The less you can take the better. Moving crap around only slows you down, weighs you down, and gets you down. Even when you 'settle down' somewhere, I believe in living lightly. You never know what life will bring. Best to be prepared for anything. Clean it up, girl! And tell Rex to never post pictures of his kitchen again. Erin, for the love of all that's good and holy, get in there and straighten this boy out.
