So I've moved and am now settled in to my new place in Christiansburg. I have not blogged regularly in a while, but have thought up all sorts of things to blog about. I have constantly come across situations that warrant a good write-up. Like the time I found a dead possum under a cinder block while walking my dog "Snickity". Or maybe about Troy, the man who raves about his landscaping and hates pine trees with a passion? Then there are my thoughts of starting a business around snack delivery to college students. So much to choose from!
But now let me stick to my move to Christiansburg.
First off, let me explain my rationale for moving. You see in a few years I am thinking about having little versions of myself and my wife. And I have always wanted my wife to have the opportunity to make the decision to be a stay at home mother. Either way, I'm fine with, but the ability to make that decision is important to me and the family. We also have debt, school loans, that have been around longer than my dog "Snickity", maybe I should name them too? The bottom line is that by moving I should be able to save for a house with low enough payments to allow my wife to stay at home in approx. 3 years.
So we moved from a nice ~2,000 sqft townhome in Blacksburg to a mobile home in Christiansburg, VA. The distance is about 10 miles and it actually works out better for Erin as she now has a shorter drive to work, this should save her ~2 hours a week in drive time. Below are a few pictures. I'll share some of my experiences in later posts.

Glad to see you have fineley got there. Do you have Boarders yet at the old homestead?
Boarders?
Glad you got settled in, I never saw it in person, but your kitchen now looks bigger than the one you had in the townhouse.
Love the frugality - smart sacrifices now take us a long way in the future. =)
