I'm pretty scatterbrained right now. Mainly because I am between projects at work and just need a little bit of time to relax before the next set of meetings. Work is going well and I have come to the point where I am having to fight for my time. By fight for my time I mean I have to turn down a few things so that I can keep up with my current work. Currently I can handle about 5 projects at once. Any more than that and it's too easy to get lost. With the addition of departmental work, I may even have to drop that to 4.
As for my knee, it's done for. I can't run on it. Therefore I can't train for VA Beach. I could go get an MRI, but if anything is wrong then I'd have to have surgery and there goes a whole bunch of $ that is earmarked for the wedding. So my plan now is to continue to work out, limit the running and plan for a wonderful weekend in VA Beach come September.

I had a dream the other night that I had an MRI of my heart (is that even possible) anyway, the point is, I had the MRI and scheduled surgery for the next day with little to no cost to myself. That is my preferred way of dealing with health issues.
Oh no, Rex! Sorry you won't get to run. Have fun in VA Beach, though!
I'm sorry to hear about your knee...the good news is that after living in VA Beach for 10 years, the concert is really the highlight of the RNR half-marathon anyway. Get yourself a passport pin and enjoy the show!
that really sucks about your knee. glad you'll still be there though to have some fun in the sun.
