Tales from the Trailer Park #1

So the more I think about it the more I am tempted to create a section called "Tales from the Trailer Park" to share stories of interesting things I have come across since moving. These things have provided countless minutes of laughing and while some are common in everyday life, others are reserved for my new neighborhood :) So here goes, story #1:

The disappearing house!

I've become accustomed to homes in lines, with lanes. Or as accustomed as anyone could become in the first month and a half. I wake up, take the dog out and check out my surroundings as anyone would. Behind my home is my storage shed (I need to take pictures) it houses my camping gear, tools, bike & some storage items. Behind that is a small chain linked fence followed by another home. Just your standard large white rectangle. Well a morning not too long ago I wake up, take the dog out and check out my surroundings as anyone would only to find a large rectangular patch of dirt, some insallation and a few cinder blocks. It was gone! Granted I know these are 'mobile homes' but it looks like many of them pretty much stay put for long periods of time. So I guess I will be getting used to homes just disappearing (and possibly reappearing) in my time to come.

That's too funny. I think I would have been caught off guard too if my neighbors home was gone when I got up one morning...mobile home or otherwise. =)
