Sunday relaxin'

Sunday morning. The day after Jeff & Catherine Rendell's wedding. It was a very nice service and the reception was a good time as well. I'm so happy for them as they looked so happy to be together yesterday. It was a beautiful day to drive both to and from Richmond, VA. Google Maps estimated the trip at 3 hours and 50 minutes, Since I thought (catch that) the wedding was at 3 I figured I'd leave a little before 11, knowing that computer directions usually overestimate time travel. Well 10:20 rolls around and I look at the wedding invitation and it says the wedding is at 2pm!!!

So I shower and get out of the door at 10:30am, hoping to make the 2pm ceremony. Well I did, with a bit of time to spare. The 3 hour 50 minute trip took all of 3 hours, of course it did help that everyone on the highway was traveling along quite speedily.

This morning I checked out a new church service. I had heard good things and knew of a couple people who attended. It's small, fairly young and filled of a pretty diverse people group (from Blacksburg that is). I liked it, seemed much more like a service for the common person and less of a big building with drab singing. I think I'll have to try it again sometime.
