So I need to order a camera, a pocket sized digital that I can take on the cruise in roughly 3 weeks. I have been doing a lot of research and I am settling on the digital elph series from Canon. They are small and will hold the memory type that I use for my Nikon D70, so I should be able to save cost on memory.
Life lately has been rough and I attribute part of this to lack of sleep and rest. I have been pretty unproductive the first couple days of the week, but after getting some rest as the week has worn on I feel much better. I sat down last night and linked my list of things to get done to my schedule. Now it's just time to do them all. And I am trying to get pretty much everything done by the cruise in 3 weeks!
A good thing is that I have had some time to reflect lately and am craving it more. I'll find some time for that soon. One of the reasons may be because I spoke with a friend a couple nights ago, while celebrating Monica's Birthday, about the series of exploratory essays I'd like to write. I've read a few pages about exploratory essays and the premise is that the form of the writing is not strict and before starting you are not sure where it will end. The main difference between this and free writing is in the research and the amount of thought required. I'd basically list my thoughts about a subject, dive into others interpretations throughout the ages and work on coming to some sort of conclusion. The topics I have picked vary widely and I may list a few on this site. I think my list is now up to 40+ and this idea came from some essays I have read by Emerson in my free time.

When you get around to writing these essays, I'd definitely be interested in reading them.
