Cold crashed plans & and introduction out of restlessness..

A weekend of COLD & Ice & a bit of snow. That about sums it up. Friday night I went out with some friends and caught up with some of the fraternity folk. Saturday's plans were crashed by icy weather that started while I was at the gym for my Saturday morning run. Notched my 7m and then drove slowly home. Saturday I went home and did pretty much nothing all day, it was wonderful. I did get a little restless and bored though. Sunday brought my first ski lesson and it was a blast. The weather was 5 degrees so I pretty much covered all of my skin and rode a few hours after the lesson. I learned basically how to stop (a skill that was previously missing from my arsenal) as well as some really basic turning. It was enough to get me going on some of the easier slopes. Returned home, did some work and that's my weekend.

Part of that work was looking at Grad School and browsing the Montgomery county and the Blacksburg Parks & Rec directories. I found Intro classes for: Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Outdoor cooking, Youth Sports Coaching, Photography, Canoeing and Astronomy. I'm hoping to pick out a few and go at it. I may never have a restless weekend again... Tonight's activities include a basketball game, the ever popular laundry, fixing a friends computer and youth group work! WOHOO, Here is to a great week!
