Work has been busy today and I will likely be staying a little late. Yesterday was a govt. holiday and thus for me was a "professional development" day. I spent some time discussing RTF, ASP.net and messing with positioning in CSS. If all of that sounds foreign to you, don't worry it's not super exciting.
Sometime the weather turned down right frigid around here, only strengthens my argument to buy an electric car starter. It will be a while though. This morning I woke up and did a little reading followed by a whole bunch of errands. Tonight holds a basketball game and this weekend holds skiing lessons part 1, I still need to call them and figure out the transportation situation.
In my church membership thinking I am leaning towards removing myself from membership, but am still wanting to talk with a few more people. The major upside is that I feel I would be doing the right thing and may in some way be an example? But I do also mention that this is a conviction of my conscience and may not be everyone's thing. If you are a member, then I'm happy for you. If not then I am equally as happy. Some of the downside I can see coming is being pushed out of the youth group (I think discipleship and teaching requires 'church membership' according to 'church policy'). I'd consider this sad really, but I would not be surprised. I would like to hope that the people that care about you would care little if you were or were not an official church member and would be more concerned about what Christ himself had to say about the matter, wonder if he required membership of his disciples in some form of contract? An article that has helped me think about these things : freedom.

I'm confident that you will come to the right decision for you and that no matter what happens, you will find a way to serve the youth of your community. You have a gift for relating to young people.
Also, interesting article, makes me think of the movie "Saved". For many, their christianity is more of belonging to a clique rather than living out the example of Christ.
Are you excited about Sunday!!! I'm excited for you. Even though it is skiing and not snowboarding, I'll let it slide ;)
