Old Notebooks resolve to enjoy life and take a cruise!

So work has been pretty busy this week, but I like it. Lots to do! My room is currently in shambles as I am re-organizing (aka organizing for the first time) my closet. Sounds simple enough, but when you take into account it includes my entire file system of work, bills, and all the other random paperwork, it's quite the job. It always amazes me how much junk I have. Like old half used notebooks! What possessed me to keep those? Was it like one day I was going to say, "Hey! I need a half used notebook! Luckily I have 8 of them buried in my closet!" Not likely.

So I have clothes I am giving to the Salvation Army. New notebooks I am donation to the local elementary school for students that need that sort of thing and a ton of cassette tapes that are about to bite the dust. When all is said and done I should be able to walk through my room again. Also, I'd take a picture, but I e-bayed my smaller digital camera and the plans to replace it went by the wayside when I blew my budget with the ski lessons. I could dip into savings... But I think I'm too financially disciplined for that, it'd mess up my numbers. Speaking of numbers I am dreading doing my taxes this year. I have a lot of write offs as I give a good amount of $ to organizations and own a third of a house that is half rented. Just the house part is confusing! It'll get done though, sometime in Feb? A refund would be nice, I'm crossing my fingers.

Surprise moments in life as of late: last night's 6m run, it was so nice to get out into the cold and just enjoy running. A chat with Chris Broadway about how he is planning on facing his semester. If I were him, I'd be doing too much and even though he has slimmed things down I still suspect a tough, busy, stressful semester for him. I hope he proves me wrong. On the other hand talking to an undergrad fraternity brother given me hope with his 12 credit hours, a resolve to enjoy his final semester and a semester goal to make and continue to deepen his friendships. I'm glad that is the path I aimed for my final semester of school as well, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Well, time to go. Tonight VT plays their in state rival UVA at college hoops. Should be a good game. Other exciting news... 38 days till I leave for a cruise...
