Job reviews and skiing?

It's job performance review time! That's right January brings the annual performance review and it should be a pretty good one. This past year I have passed a certification exam, attended a conference, have been pulled onto another project and have learned a good bit about the system that I work with. With my 2 years with ACI right around the corner I'd have to say I am enjoying myself. The folks I work with rock and the easy pace of life in the New River Valley area is just about perfect. So nothing to stress about :)

Last night's dinner was sirloin tipped kabobs, which were delicious. Relaxed a bit with Jilian & Monica then headed back home to do some paperwork. Got to bed late after some AOL IMing and woke up at 6am. I'm not sure why and I was thinking, oh great a two workout day with a basketball game, I am going to be tired all day. We'll got up at 7 and feel fine thus far, kinda strange. Maybe it will hit me later, maybe not?

In other news I dropped some $ on a gym membership recently (since running in the cold is not my favorite thing to do) and also on ski lessons. Now if you know me you know I am never the first to volunteer to go skiing, since I am pretty bad at it. I think I would do okay, given a chance to learn and basically that chance fell right in my lap. 5 consecutive weekends of lessons starting Jan. 23rd including lift ticket and equipment rental for a little over $100. A really sweet deal, I'm treating it as my cross-training for the marathon as it fits right into Sunday's training day. Too perfect... Let's hope I don't get injured.
