So here it is 2005! I had previously taken a break ( a long break) from personal blogging. No rants, no raves, no opinions, no pictures, you get the picture (or maybe not!) and NO bad jokes/puns. Which is probably better for you if you spend any time at all reading this. Since it is a new year and I feel like blogging again (not to mention several family members have commented on my halt to blogging) I am going to blog again.
It will be my daily adventures as previously as well as some personal thoughts/perspectives thrown in. To start off a lot has been happening these past few months externally as well as internally. Externally I have been pretty busy traveling. Places like New Orleans, Washington D.C. and Massachusetts are just a few of my destinations. I have also decided to let my hair grow out a bit. It's been going for a little while now and it is the longest I have ever kept it myself. I'll have to post some pictures soon. Be expecting to see a lot of pictures as I continue to blog as well!
Internally my thoughts have shifted inward a bit as I have been dealing with some of my more personal issues. Thoughts on family, relationships with friends and health come to mind immediately. Have a number of friends to thank for helping direct my thoughts and ask myself some pretty hard questions these past few months. Not always easy, but incredibly worth the trip.
I have formulated a pretty decent list of things I would like to 'essay' on. Most of the topics are very broad such as hope, faith, sadness, grief, sadness, guilt. etc. I am hoping to take my topics over time, do some research and write essays that help me come to terms with and more deeply understand these things. If I've learned anything about this period of my life it is that I am working on experiencing as much as I can to learn what I like and what I don't. So a lot of experimentation and working to understand what goes on everyday around me in an in depth way. It's too easy to float through life sometimes and I am intent to fight this trend, looking back at my life it seems to be what I have been doing all along.
Other little updates include: training for my first full marathon (see the link '26.2' on the right side of the page) and shooting high school basketball games & soccer games (learning sports photography).
If you get a chance to read this, send me a comment. Until I type again...
