Switched up the gym routine today and I'm going to feel it tomorrow. Already feel it slightly in the left hamstring. I am pre-training for the half-marathon during Labor Day weekend. Actual planned training starts next week. It is a 12 week plan with a week of for the honeymoon. Through it all I plan to continue lifting. I have not been able to do it yet, as it includes an hour and a half at the gym instead of an hour each day. This time I have the wedding as encouragement and there is the added bonus of the Blacksburg/Roanoke Ultimate Frisbee Summer League starting tomorrow!
I was out throwing with a guy I met playing frisbee when he was a freshman. Now he is about to be a senior and his skills have gotten much better. It was good to jest get out and throw. The weather here has been amazing lately, hot and sunny even!
I've also really gotten into using Google Calendar lately. It houses my personal schedule (though I can't sync it with my PDA) as well as my workout schedule and the wedding schedule. I've found it really useful as it can send you reminders via email or cell phone text message upon your request. I'd recommend it, along with a gmail email account.
Tonight's plans hold softball, my left thumb feels healed and ready to play and I won't be at the Rockwood so I'm going to give it a go. Wedding planning will bookend the evening softball game. Lots left to do!
